Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Reveals Official Redesign - IGN Southeast Asia

A new trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been released, offering a first look at the spikey speedster following his extensive character redesign.

Sonic's makeover appears to be more consistent with the character's classic video game look, as the VFX artists have removed the realistic elements of the CGI-animated hedgehog's original design and replaced them with the more exaggerated features that Sega fans will be familiar with.

Amid the original backlash, Fowler announced his decision to change the controversial design of the iconic character in the upcoming movie, promising a more authentic look. The redesign has now been rolled out across the marketing materials for the movie, which includes this brand new poster:

After the delay in release, Sonic The Hedgehog: The Movie is expected to speed into theaters on February 14, 2020.
