Producing director (PD) Na Young Suk is back at it again with another fun five-minute series with the cast of tvN’s “New Journey to the West” series, this time featuring close friends WINNER’s Song Mino and Block B’s P.O!
The new series will be called “Mapo Hipster” and will premiere on February 28 and air every Friday at 11 p.m. KST for five minutes. It was be a variety show centered around a battle of fashion between Song Mino and Block B’s P.O. Though they live in the same area, are the same age, and have the same profession, they have completely different fashion styles that will be the focal point of the show.
In the teaser for the series, the PD can be seen calling P.O up and saying, “I thought of a new show idea.” Although P.O sounded wary at first, he brightened at the idea of doing something with Song Mino. Their friendship shone through when Na Young Suk was explaining something to them, and they both did the PD’s signature “Ddaeng (Wrong)!” impression right after he was gone, P.O catching on to what Song Mino was doing just by looking at him.
PD Park Hyun Yong explained, “The greatest strength of the series will be the chemistry between Song Mino and P.O, who are very close friends but are complete opposites when it comes to fashion preferences.”
