Jordan North quickly became one of this year's most adored I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here camp contestants. So much so, the Radio 1 DJ came in second place to Castle Queen Giovanna Fletcher.

But Jordan almost didn't take part in the reality series as he only secured his place when another big celebrity dropped out of the final line-up at the very last minute.

Opening up about his time in the castle to friend and fellow Radio 1 DJ Greg James, Jordan revealed he got a call from his agent to say a space had come up and had just 48 hours to prep.

"I was last minute. I got a call to say, 'Not this year, maybe next year,' and I thought, 'Oh right okay, still fantastic, it's a show I love,' then I got a call two weeks later saying, 'Do you want to do it? Someone's dropped out.'

"I was like, 'Erm, yeah alright.' Then I had two days to do everything, a medical, a psychiatry test, filming, I did it all in 48 hours. So it very nearly never happened."

However, Jordan refused to reveal which celeb he ended up replacing. "My agent's just text me saying, 'Stop talking,'" he joked.

Greg replied, "That blows my mind! Literally the supply teacher for I'm a Celeb as well. The Radio 1 supply teacher, but no longer! We're going to have to have BC - before castle - and after castle because it's a different Jordan."
