With Gwyneth Paltrow's decades-long career in entertainment, you can only imagine the famous faces she has come across. Despite her many years in the industry, it was one of her co-stars from her early days that made her inner fan girl come out thanks to the influence their career had on her own: Meg Ryan.
"I had this reverence for Meg Ryan and, or, like, Julia Roberts, you know, when I saw Pretty Woman, when I was a senior in high school and in those women, I felt like illumination within myself," she said, explaining her infatuation with the star on Quarantined With Bruce. "Like, 'Oh my God, this is what I want to be. They're so brilliant and charming and funny, and they're lighting up the world and that's what I want to do.'"
The day Paltrow finally met Ryan, "it felt so personal to [her]," she revealed. "I couldn't believe it." Despite the success of her career and meeting her role models, Paltrow has been vocal about being disenchanted by the industry. She realized she "doesn't love acting that much as it turns out," adding that "part of the shine of acting wore off."
