COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Columbus man was taken into custody after a short car chase on Thursday. According to the Columbus Police Department (CPD), officers tried to stop a vehicle at around 12:25 p.m., near Ninth and Reed Streets, after observing a minor violation.
CPD says the driver, later identified as Johnny Jordan, 46, initially refused to pull over. A short pursuit reportedly ensued until the man stopped his car in an alley in the 600 block of Hutchins Avenue, where he was apprehended.
Jordan was placed under arrest and is facing preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and operating without ever receiving a license.
