With Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe wrapped up, Kevin Feige has shed some light on who is the strongest Avenger in the MCU post-Endgame — and it might not be who you think.
Speaking at the New York Film Academy, Feige was asked who the strongest hero in the MCU was post-Endgame, according to CBR.com. "I think it's interesting if you look at Endgame, Wanda Maximoff was going to kill Thanos," said Feige. "That's as scared as I've ever seen Thanos, and if he hadn't said 'decimate my entire team to get her off of me,' I think she would have done it."
For those who don't recall, Thanos and Wanda Maximoff met face to face in the final battle of the movie. Wanda, filled with rage at Thanos for killing Vision in Infinity War, vows to get revenge on Thanos.
Of course, we all know that Wanda doesn't end up killing Thanos, but maybe she could have. Filled with hate and rage, it seems that Feige believes that Scarlet Witch was capable of killing the most powerful enemy the Avengers have faced to date single-handed.
Fans will get to see more of Scarlet Witch in Disney Plus' WandaVision show. The series is currently set to release in 2021 and little is know about the plot of WandaVision so far — nor do we know how Marvel intends to resurrect Vision.
According to Feige, the series will explore Wanda officially becoming Scarlet Witch — something that hasn't been explored in any depth yet. "What does that mean, that she is the Scarlet Witch?" Feige said. "And that's what we play into in this show, in ways that are entirely fun, entirely funny, somewhat scary, and will have repercussions for the entire future Phase 4 of the MCU."
While Phase 3 is wrapped up, Marvel still has big plans for the future — be sure to check out every new Marvel show and movie that has been announced so far. Disney has also confirmed that a Loki show will be coming to Disney+ in 2021, which could feature a female Loki.
