Over the weekend, the famous phone call between Kanye West and Taylor Swift, which Kim Kardashian recorded without the young singer's knowledge, was finally leaked in full. And people have lost their minds.
The phone call in question took place in 2016, and supposedly proved that 42-year-old rapper West actively sought Swift's permission to sing about her in the song 'Famous.'
Specifically, that she agreed to him using the line 'I made that b**** famous.'
A Quick Recap:
When Kanye West's 2016 track 'Famous' was released, 30-year-old Swift spoke out against the song, implying that she found the lyrics about her to be disrespectful.
In response to this, West's wife, 39-year-old Kim Kardashian-West, leaked parts of a phone call between West and Swift, which she had recorded without Swift's knowledge, in order to prove that Kanye West had sought permission from Taylor before releasing the song.
Many considered this to be more fuel for the fire that had begun burning around Taylor Swift, with commenters branding her a 'snake' and using the snake emoji to denounce her apparent turncoat moment with regards to the song.
Wait it's legit National Snake Day?!?!?They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days! 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍

As Of This Weekend
The leak which occurred this weekend, allows listeners to hear the entire 25 minute conversation. And what people have come to find out, is that Kanye West omits some of the language that he was intending to use about Taylor Swift in the song.
Specifically, he never informs her that he intends to call her a 'b****'.

Now, having access to the full transcript of the conversation, many have leapt to Taylor Swift's defence, slamming West and Kardashian-West for being sneaky about what parts of the audio they chose to release.
Many are now insisting that Taylor Swift has been telling the truth all along - that she did not agree to the lyrics that ended up in the song.
one silver lining in the apocalypse - justice for T

I’m not about cancel culture, etc, but Kim & Kanye have had FOUR years to apologize to Taylor. They haven’t. They saw how the world treated her & watched the effects of something THEY weren’t telling the truth over.
Tells me ALL I need to know about the kind of people they are.

This is low on the list of priorities but I want to say that any of you who doubted Taylor Swift during the Kanye phone call debacle owe her an apology

In Related News
In closely related news, it has actually been reported that the lyrics West originally planned were arguably even more objectionable than the ones that ended up in the song.
According to Vanity Fair, the line: 'I feel like me and Taylor still might have sex,' was first penned as 'I feel like Taylor Swift still owe me sex / Why? I made that b**ch famous.'
To imply that any woman owes you sex for material goods or status (tantamount to inciting prostitution) is pretty much always wrong, no?
