Emilia recently revealed she told a facialist to 'get out' after they told her she needed filler aged 28.

The star told Elle magazine she was left fuming after the being told to get the anti-ageing treatment.

When asked about the worst skincare advice she had received, the actress said: 'I once had a facialist who told me I needed filler and I showed her the door.'

'I was literally just like, "get out". Her exact words were, "Then, you can have your face back." At that point I was 28.'

The star also opening up about her thoughts on ageing in the film industry, saying:

'At 34, I am wiser, more intelligent, I've had more experiences, I've done all this stuff and I'm proud of that. So, if my face is gonna reflect the time that I've spent on this earth, I'm down for that.'

The star continued to say she feels pressure to get injections in the film industry but knows she works in an industry where she needs to show expressions.

Emilia also explained that she's also never had botox because she is 'petrified', and while she does not want to get the procedure done at this given time, she has not necessarily ruled it out in the future.

However, she stressed she does not like how it's now considered the norm 'that everybody just gets work done'.

Express yourself: 'I work in an industry where I've got to move my face, and I've got to be expressive, and you can't light filter'

Last year, Emilia told the Australian beauty outlet, Mecca that each evening she will engage in a facial massage before she goes to sleep.

'I kind of want to do all I can in taking care of my skin. It's a form of self-care as well -I'm choosing to put the energy into making sure I'm looking good,' she told the publication.

Founder of Face Gym Inge Theron said there is a simple reason why facial massage is so good for your skin: stimulation.

'Over 40 muscles make up the scaffolding of the face. And just like the muscles in the body, the more you move them, the more lifted, tightened and toned they become,' she told Glamour.
