Manhattan Short films showing in Mt. Pleasant - The Morning Sun

Veterans Memorial Library hosts a showing of the Manhattan Short Film Festival, one of the world’s largest short-film festivals, 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, in the library parking lot, 301 S. University, Mt. Pleasant. Audience is encouraged to bring a comfortable chair to watch the 10 finalists, then cast a vote for best short. These films are suggested for ages 14 and older. “Monsieur Cachemire,” directed by Iouri Philippe Paillé, is a Canadian short film about a bank loan officer who extracts dark secrets from the past from an eccentric and mysterious customer in need of funds.
