I'm A Celeb winner Danny Miller broke down in tears as he was reunited with his fiancée Steph Jones and their baby Albert on Monday's episode of Lorraine.

The Emmerdale star and King of The Castle, 30, was surprised with a virtual reunion as he appeared on the show and was overjoyed at getting to see his seven-week old son.

Families were not permitted to attend the final in Wales due to Covid and Danny  - who beat Simon Gregson and Frankie Bridge to win - is yet to return home.

Midwife Steph admitted she had missed him 'so much' while he was away to take part in the show and said she knew he would win for being so 'genuine and down to earth.'

As Steph and Albert appeared on screen on the daytime TV show, Danny put his head in his heads and became overwhelmed with emotion.

He said: 'I love you so much. I wasn't expecting this, this is a set up Lorraine, you've got me!

'The whole reason I did it was to show the country I wasn't just Aaron off Emmerdale, I was my own person. Steph was the reason I did it, her and Albert… I'm speechless, this is the worst interview you're ever going to give in your life.

'Steph said you need to go and show everyone what I know about you so that's what I've done.

'This show gave me the financial security to do it and I'm not ashamed to say it. This show gave me the financial security to do it… I can't believe I'm meeting him. Look at him!'

Steph, holding their son, replied: 'He's seven weeks today. We've missed you so much Danny, we just want you to come home now. I love you so much, we're so proud of you, we can't wait to see you later!'

Danny will soon be reunited with his midwife fiancée Steph and their young son Albert properly.

The couple were elated when they discovered they were expecting in February after coming close to tuning to IVF treatment after a year of trying to conceive.

Danny announced his engagement to his midwife fiancée Steph in May after two years together, after originally meeting in primary school, at the same time they shared the news they'd welcomed their first child.

He proposed at a candlelit beach dinner in St Lucia in January - a trip Steph had booked for his 30th birthday celebrations after two years together.

Steph works as a midwife and is responsible for delivering babies. She even welcomed the safe arrival of her nephew Jude, who was born in January 2019.

Elsewhere in his interview with Lorraine, Danny discussed his close relationship with fellow campmate and French footballer David Ginola.

He said: 'He was a father figure for me in there. He kept me sane. Steph's always been the person who drilled confidence in me.

'David was a hero of mine from a baby boy. He was the reason I wanted to wear the No 14 shirt and play on the left and right of the wing!'

Lorraine then asked Steph why she thinks Danny won, to which she replied: 'As soon as he went in we knew he'd win if he just showed who he is because he's just the most genuine, down to earth amazing human.

'He's just an all round amazing person!'

Earlier on Monday morning Danny also spoke to Good Morning Britain after being crowned King of The Castle on this year's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The actor and show super fan told presenters Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray that he was 'still on cloud nine' after winning.

Ranvir asked I'm A Celeb superfan Danny how the experience was for him.

Danny said: 'I'll be honest with you - It was an absolute nightmare. From start to finish, it was tension, It was awful, luckily for me I had David Ginola all the way throughout.

'I don't think you can ever get used to it. Obviously I'm used to being in front of a camera, but to have a camera recording you all the way throughout, 24 hours a day, seven days a week it doesn't make it any easier, but luckily I'd David Ginola in my ear, in my mind and he didn't let me go.'

Ranvir asked: 'You do have a wife and a newborn baby, but it was David Ginola who got you through this…?'

'It's a good point, yeah, I forgot about them!,' he laughed. 'The whole reason I did it was for my fiance, soon to be wife, and my baby Albert were the whole reason, to set them up for a big future, but you know, David Ginola came into my life and he was the reason I stuck through it. He helped me through it.'

On making the decision to leave his son to take part in the show, he explained: 'Albert is six and a half weeks now. I've not seen him yet. I'm waiting to go back today to see him. Can't wait to put him in my arms and see him for the first time in what seems like a lifetime.'

'Well it is a lifetime for him, isn't it?' Ranvir asked.

'Fortunately for him he's no idea, but unfortunately for me I've missed him,' said Danny. 'He won't know but I certainly have and I'll spend the rest of my life making sure I make it up to him.'

Adil asked: 'What's it like when you go to bed at night and the cameras have stopped rolling, you're on your own, what were you thinking?'

'I take back every single thing I've ever said about any celebrity that's taken part ever being on that show about how ridiculous they look after day two, three, four, being homesick and ridiculous crying on TV - I was 18 hours into the show crying thinking, 'What have I done?'

'I didn't realise what I'd signed up to. I really missed my family. I was homesick from day one. Only people who sign up to the show realise what they signed up to because I didn't realise.

On his bromance with David Ginola, Danny said: 'I was trying to get a leg over with him all week, he was having none of it. I wanted a cuddle and a spoon but he bottled it. So it's on him, not me.'

Danny was crowned the first king of the castle, while Simon came second and Frankie third in Sunday's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! final.

The actor sat on the throne and wore the floral crown after becoming the first male celebrity to win the show following its relocation to Gwrych Castle in north Wales - and later admitted he signed up so he could provide for his baby son.

The finale suffered yet another ratings blow with only 7.1 million viewers tuning in compared to the 2020 finale watched by 12.1 million.

His triumph follows a series of setbacks for the beleaguered show, which has been routinely hampered by freak weather storms since its launch in November, among them Storm Arwen.

The powerful extratropical cyclone battered the makeshift camp with torrential rain and powerful winds, halting production for the first time in the show's 21 year history and prompting bosses to place the cast in temporarily isolation bubbles for their own safety.

During his exit interview with Ant and Dec, Danny admitted that he took part in the show to set up his baby son Albert with a better future, telling the hosts: 'I wanted to be able to give him the future he deserves, I wasn't in a position to do that.'

He then said on the intensity of the castle: 'When you're up, you're up and then you get homesick and it lowers the mood.'

Danny also said that his man crush and idol David Ginola in the castle 'exceeded [his] expectations' and that 'he was the reason why I wanted to be a winger.'

Later in the show, he spoke as he sat on the throne for the first time and admitted: 'I can't believe it. Oh my gosh, I can't believe it!'

Elsewhere on Sunday's show Simon, who finished second, said of his loss: 'Thank you to all of you at home who kept me here. Thanks, it means a lot.' He then turned to Danny, adding: 'I'm just so chuffed that you got it.'

Third-placed Frankie did the honours of giving Danny his crown. She quipped: 'This is the last thing I do for you.'

The Emmerdale star added: 'From the bottom of my heart and my family's heart this is the proudest thing I've ever done. I can't believe that I've won this... I'm in shock.'

Danny follows in the footsteps of last year's Queen of the Castle, Giovanna Fletcher who would normally hand over the crown, but due to COVID-19 guidelines, this tradition was axed this year.

Simon then spoke to the pair in his exit interview about his experience and discussed whether it was as bad as he thought. He said: 'No it wasn't. I hate spiders and never admitted that in the telegraph so I didn't get them in a trial.'

On having a laugh in the castle he said: 'You've just got to get into the zone.'

He also reflected on his worst moments, including his last trial, which saw him take on the Frightening Feast challenge with a cow's vagina and a sheep's penis on the menu.

Funny man: Simon said of his loss: 'Thank you to all of you at home who kept me here. [cheeky stare] thanks, it means a lot. I'm just so chuffed that you got it'

The star crudely quipped: 'The cow's vagina wasn't the best I've had.'

He then said when asked by the Geordie duo what it would mean if he had won: 'It would be nice. But it's really difficult when you are sat next to your buddy.'

Earlier in the show, Frankie packed up her belongings and donned her hat to walk out the castle to have her exit interview with hosts when she placed third.

The former Saturdays singer, 32, spoke to the presenting duo about her time in the castle.

After watching her best bits she said: 'Oh that sums it up nicely' before telling them she was ecstatic about beating her husband Wayne Bridge who came fifth in the competition in 2016.

She also said: 'I wanted to prove to myself that I could do things I was scared of.'

Frankie said of the overall experience and her journey: 'I've never been in a situation where your mood is up here and then down there. It's bonkers.'

On her toughest trial she said: 'I think probably the last one. I didn't know there was going to be other ones. You then pushed me into the darkness!'

Frankie then admitted she thinks Danny would win this year's competition.

She told Ant and Dec: 'When we started I thought Danny would be king of the castle. He is obsessed with the show. He was in from the beginning, he was in the clink. But I love them both, it's hard, but I do love Danny.'
