I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! has revealed that Arlene Phillips is the first celebrity to be voted out of the castle this year.

After the usual catch-up about the camp gossip, Ant and Dec headed into the camp to deliver the bad news that one of the group would be booted out back into the real world.

Nobody wants to be the first one out, but time is up in the camp for the former Strictly Come Dancing judge, who was quite emotional in her interview with the hosts.

Arlene, who holds the record for being the oldest person to ever take part in I'm a Celeb, told them her reasons for appearing on the show.

One reason was to overcome her fears and show her grandaughters that you don't have to be afraid of all the bugs and beasties, as she always was, a fear that she passed onto her daughters.

"This programme, I've watched it for so long, it's about overcoming fear, and one of the bravest, bravest, most fearless girls I know is Lily Douglas, who has just won the Scottish Pride of Britain award for courage," she explained.

"She's so fearless and I thought here am I afraid of so many things, what way better can you push yourself than to do something like this, and live in a way I never thought I would."

She also added that she'd never camped before in her life, so that was another thing to tick off her list.

They also touched on her sweet motherly relationship with Naughty Boy, calling him a "very special human being".

She also Arlene revealed that the pair are planning to "do something together" with his music and her dance background, so watch this space for whatever will come.
