BELLAIRE, MI - The party must go on.
After canceling its annual anniversary parties in 2020 and 2021, Short’s Brewing Co. has decided to do something “extra special to celebrate with beer fans across the state of Michigan,” according to reps.
On Monday, March 15, its will open pre-orders for an exclusive Anni Party Gift Pack, which consists of two 22oz bombers, the brewery’s new food line with Soft Parade Jam and Local’s Light Spicy Mustard, a signed Anni Party poster by Joe Short and additional brewery goodies, it said in a news release.
“This pack contains passion, ingenuity, love, and spirit from the souls of people who care at Short’s Brewing Company,” said founder Joe Short in the release.
The pack includes Sour Parade, a soured version of Short’s flagship beer Soft Parade, and a brand new 17 Anni Ale, which is a triple hazy IPA with curuba fruit. They will be hand bottled at the Bellaire pub, Short said.
From March 15-26, fans in Michigan can go to their local beer store and ask to pre-order this Anni Party Pack, reps said. The store will order the packs from Michigan distributor Imperial Beverage. They will be shipped to the store for pick up the week of April 20, just in time to celebrate the brewery’s 17th anniversary date.
The price of the pack was not announced because “it is up to the retailer to set the price,” said Pauline Knighton-Prueter, sales director at Short’s.
The brewery is excited wanted to involve Imperial Beverage, as well as beer stores across the state.
“Encouraging consumers to go to their local stores and pre-order this pack is a pretty new concept, but it ensures that each pack created has an excited owner ready to consume it,” Knighton-Prueter said.
“If it all goes well, we’d love to use this model for smaller batches of some of our more obscure fan favorites.”
It might not be the same as partying in downtown Bellaire with live music and other entertainment with more than 3,000 people, but the party packs are a way to show appreciation to fans, Short said.
“We can’t thank you enough for all of your support through the years, and know that we truly, madly, deeply miss you all taking over the streets of Bellaire, but until April 30th 2022, hops and hugs to all of you,” Short said.
