TULSA – UNT Tennis fell 4-0 against No. 46 Tulsa on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Senior Maria Ponomareva and freshman Jasmine Adams were both ahead in singles play when the match was finished.
 
DOUBLES

• Saki Oyama and Liisa Vehvilainen fell 4-6 in the second position.
• Ponomareva and partner Lucie Devier also slipped 4-6.
• Adams and partner Sophia Hummel were behind 4-5 when the match was left unfinished.

 
SINGLES

• Vehvilainen struggled in her singles match, 2-6, 1-6.
• Zhou tripped 2-6 in set one and 1-6 in set two.
• Devier battled through singles play falling 4-6 in set one and 3-6 in set two.
• Adams breezed through set one, 6-1, before falling 3-6 in set two. She was ahead 1-0 with the match left unfinished.
• Ponomareva won set one 6-3 and was ahead 4-3 in the second set when the match finished.
• Oyama fell 1-6 in the first set, but was ahead 5-4 in set two.

• "We knew Tulsa would be a tough match up and we needed the doubles point to put some pressure on the scoreboard," head coach Sujay Lama said. "Maria had her best performance in singles and will gain a lot of confidence moving forward. Jasmine built on the previous match, and both of them were ahead and in winning positions. We'll have a week to prepare for a strong finish to our regular season and take positive momentum for the conference tournament. "
