Ayesha Curry Fires Back At $10 Million Battle With Celeb Branding Company - The Blast

As The Blast previously reported, Ayesha was sued by the celebrity branding company Flutie Entertainment. The suit demanded $10 million in damages from the wife of NBA superstar Stephen Curry. In the lawsuit, Flutie Entertainment said Ayesha signed with them in November 2014. At the time, she wanted to turn her name into a global brand.

In the lawsuit, Flutie Entertainment claimed they were screwed out of profits and ownerships after their 5-year deal ended in May 2019. The company said during their time working with Ayesha they held up their end of the bargain. Flutie pointed to her being hired as a host on a Food Network show and on ABC’s “Great American Baking Show.”

Flutie Entertainment believes Ayesha screwed them out of money owed per their agreement. The suit is also seeking monetary damages from Ayesha for her signing a cookbook deal and working with other food-based businesses.
The company is also demanding they gain a 50 percent interest in Ayesha’s entertainment company, Homemade, and Yardie Girl Productions.

After the lawsuit was filed, Ayesha’s powerhouse lawyer Michael Plonsker released a statement saying the claims were without merit. He added, “Ayesha Curry terminated her business relationship with disgruntled manager Robert Flutie in early 2019. We are confident that the legal process will find his accusations nonsensical and completely unfounded."
