I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here will return to TV screens this autumn, ITV has confirmed. And as such, our minds are naturally wondering who will take part in the next instalment of the jungle extravaganza.
Certainly, producers will be hard pressed to better last year’s line up – which included Jacqueline Jossa, Caitlyn Jenner and Nadine Coyle.
That said, there have been some pretty high-profile names circulating for this year’s series… and the bookies are taking notice.
Ahead of the show’s return – and upcoming documentary, I’m a Celebrity: A Jungle Story – here we take a look at some of the (unconfirmed) contenders for I’m a Celeb 2020 as per Ladbrokes’ latest betting trends.

John Bercow – 4/7
John Bercow was Speaker of the House of Commons from 2009 to 2019, and perhaps has a taste for the showbiz glare after his wife Sally Bercow appeared on Big Brother in 2011.
We won’t consider the fact that she was voted out first.
Jessie J – 6/4
This seems highly unlikely, despite the odds… but it would be absolutely epic.
Jessie J, after all, is a proper, proper star, with three UK number one singles under her belt: Price Tag, Domino and Bang Bang. And she definitely has a talent that could scare the critters away.
Lucy Fallon – 7/4
Lucy is known for playing Bethany Platt on Corrie (yeah, Sarah-Louise Platt’s daughter is now an adult! Scary, right…). She left the show earlier this year, so the timing’s perfect…
Baga Chipz – 2/1
She came in third on last year’s Drag Race UK behind The Vivienne and Divina De Campo, but Baga Chipz was the biggest personality on the show, so she’s an absolute shoo-in for I’m a Celeb. If so, we can’t wait to watch viewers fall in love with her.
John Barnes – 2/1
John has conquered the world of football, having worked as a player and a manager, plus a commentator and pundit.
And he’s already teased that he could be joining this year’s show.
Vernon Kay – 5/2
Vernon, who is married to Strictly presenter Tess Daly, presents Family Fortunes.
He has history with Ant and Dec, having worked with the pair on Ant & Dec’s Gameshow Marathon from 2005 to 2007 and you never know – they could be set for a jungle reunion.
Matt Baker – 5/2
Blue Peter, Countryfile, The One Show – veteran TV presenter Matt has done it all… on the BBC.
Is he ready to hop to a new channel and try something new? Like throwing himself out of a helicopter into a lake full of eels and crocodiles, perhaps?
Kevin Clifton – 3/1
He made his name on Strictly Come Dancing, but after embarking a romantic relationship with winner Stacey Dooley, Kevin reached new levels of fame. Please wear sequined shirts in the jungle if you go in, KC!
AJ Pritchard – 3/1
Another professional dancer on Strictly, AJ is the brother of Love Island star Curtis Pritchard.
He remained coy on rumours back in April so we’ll have to wait and see if he makes the leap.
Major Charles Ingram – 3/1

Major Charles’ stock is up: he first became famous (or should that be infamous) for inventing a new language – coughing – on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? back in 2001, and was recently the subject of ITV drama Quiz starring Michael Sheen.
Could a stint in the jungle be his next venture?
Ulrika Jonsson – 3/1
Ulrika was a household name in the 90s for presenting Gladiators. She went on to win Celebrity Big Brother in 2009. She’s known for being brutally honest about absolutely everything so could really cause a stir.
Jack P Shephard – 4/1
JPS is a very familiar face to UK soap fans: he’s played David on Coronation Street since the year 2000 (yes, Lucy Fallon is his on-screen relative). But will he swap the famous Corrie cobbles for loose stones with insects underneath?
Dan Osborne – 4/1
He originally found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, but Dan Osborne is now best known as the other half of EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa – who of course won last year’s I’m a Celeb.
Jason Manford – 5/1
Jason is known for TV shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats and A Question of Sport: Super Saturday. He has also tried his hand at musical theatre.
Meanwhile, he previously said he’d do the show if Tiger King’s Carol Baskin did it. More on her in a moment…
Michelle Visage – 6/1
Michelle is a reality TV veteran, known for memorable turns on Strictly and Celebrity Big Brother. But she is of course best known as RuPaul’s right-hand woman on RuPaul’s Drag Race and numerous spin-off shows.
Carol Baskin – 6/1

Hey all you cool cats and kittens! A very modern kind of celebrity (in the sense that she became a major global star overnight without ever really planning to be), Carol Baskin of course found fame on this year’s true crime Netflix docuseries Tiger King.
It goes without saying she’d be a pro at dealing with the jungle creatures.
Eric Cantona – 8/1
He’s a footballing legend who played for Manchester United, but Eric’s second act was arguably more fascinating: he’s enjoyed a successful career as an actor.
Could his next project be all the challenges the jungle presents?
Clive Tyldesley – 8/1
You might not recognise Clive’s face, but you’ll no doubt recognise his voice: he’s worked as ITV’s senior football commentator since 1998.
And there’s not much football on, so…
Nigel Farage – 10/1
As unlikely as it seems, Brexit Party leader Nigel wouldn’t be the first politician in the jungle.
Conservative MP Nadine Dorries (currently Minister for Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Patient Safety) went there first in 2012 – so you never know.
