Good Morning Britain’s Ben Shephard is the latest star strongly tipped to join I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2020, according to bookies – and at least he wouldn’t have to travel far, given today’s news that the show will this year be filmed in the UK!

The TV personality is currently 2-1 (from 5-1) likely to head to the jungle later this year, say bookmaker Coral.

The odds follow yesterday’s news that the 45-year-old is taking a break from GMB.

It’s not a done deal, however: He’s also 4-1 to be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and 7-2 to be on Dancing on Ice, after all…

A rep for Coral commented: ‘With no early morning starts to worry about now on Good Morning Britain, our betting suggests Ben Shephard could take the plunge into the I’m A Celeb jungle this year.’

Time will tell.

If Ben does head to Australia, he’ll follow in the footsteps of his colleague Kate Garraway, who won new fans with her appearance on the show last year.

A number of surprising star names are swirling for this year’s IACGMOOH, including Price Tag singer Jessie J and Tiger King’s Carol Baskin.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestant Baga Chipz and RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage are also tipped.

This year’s installment will mark the 20th series (where do the years go?) of the Ant and Dec-fronted show.

Last year’s series was won by EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa.
