Final words
Late magician Roy Horn begged and pleaded with his longtime partner Siegfried Fischbacher to not let paramedics take him to the hospital. On Aug. 26, Siegfried recalled the last thing Roy said to him while he was being taken away on a stretcher: "Don't let me go, don't let me go." Siegfried told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Roy made the request over dinner while he was suffering from COVID-19 symptoms. "He told me, one night as we were having dinner, 'You know, if something happens to me, don't take me to the hospital,'" Siegfried recalled. "If you do, I know I'm not going to come back." But things got worse in late April and medics eventually said they needed to get Roy to a hospital. Siegfried remembers Roy looking up at him in that moment, saying, "Don't let me go, don't let me go." Siegfried said doctors implored Roy to seek professional medical care. "I wanted to go with him, but they said nobody is allowed to be with him in the hospital," Siegfried said. "But that was the last thing he said to me, 'Don't let me go.'" Roy, who had previously survived a tiger attack on a Las Vegas stage, passed away on May 8 of coronavirus complications.
Signing off
After five seasons on "The Real Housewives of New York," Dorinda Medley is leaving the show. "What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice…" she wrote on Instagram. "But all things must come to an end. This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away. I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way." Some reports have claimed Dorinda was fired from the show, but a source told People magazine it was a mutual decision between Dorinda and Bravo. With multiple spots to fill, producers are reportedly looking to diversify.

Baby news
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's little princess is here. On Aug. 26, the couple announced the birth of their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom. Katy and Orlando shared the news in statement to UNICEF, for which they're both goodwill ambassadors. "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," they wrote. "But we know we're the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was." With their news, they hoped to raise funds for the organization. They said, "In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB's arrival."
Gender inequality
All wasn't equal on the set of "Game of Thrones." On Aug. 26, The Daily Mail published comments from Emilia Clarke in which she claimed that a double standard existed on the set of "Game of Thrones" in regard to wardrobing. The actress claimed male stars were offered far more comfortable options than female stars. In the heat, she said, the men's costumes were manipulated to cool them; in cold environments, they were allowed to add furs to their costumes. "When we were shooting things in a hot country when [the men] had all of those things on, they had this pump that had its own little generator attached into the costumes. They used it to pump cold water into these pipes and cool them all down so underneath they had this weird kind of cooling system," the actress explained. The women on the set didn't have those same luxuries. "Girls weren't allowed that. All I could get was the back of my wig to be lifted up," she said. "It's too hard, I've got a wig on, they don't make cold packs you know, you put ice packs on yourself."
Jail fight
R. Kelly was allegedly attacked by another inmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Illinois, according to an Aug. 27 report. The singer was not seriously injured. TMZ reported that the inmate was upset that R. Kelly protesters were largely responsible for several recent lockdowns, so he took it out on the singer in a hail of punches. A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau Of Prisons wouldn't confirm or deny the assault, but the music star's lawyer confirmed the attack to Page Six, calling it a "dust up." "I'm still very concerned because sure this time the guards were able to quickly stop something from happening but what happens if someone goes in his cell with a shank or something like that? Or the guards are busy doing something else?" the lawyer said. "We were fortunate this time but who's to say next time?" The singer has been placed in placed in solitary confinement for his safety, his lawyer said.
Continuing conservatorship
Despite the growing #FreeBritney movement, Britney Spears' conservatorship likely won't be ending anytime soon. A source told People magazine that the pop star "dreams about the conservatorship ending, but this doesn't seem realistic." Britney recently filed court documents indicating she's "strongly opposed" to her dad, Jamie Spears, continuing in his role as sole conservator. "Britney wants someone who is respectful and considerate to be in charge of her conservatorship," People's source said. "Someone from the outside who is not her family. Someone who will treat her like an adult and listen to her. She will never have this relationship with Jamie." On Aug. 25, it emerged that the pop star's younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, has been named trustee of a trust meant to provide for Britney's sons' financial future, The Blast reported.
Heidi Klum and Seal have come to an agreement concerning their children's travel. The former couple has been at odds for several weeks after Heidi claimed the singer was blocking her from taking their children to Germany while she films "Germany's Next Top Model." Seal previously indicated he believed his ex had a "hidden agenda" and wanted to move their kids to Germany permanently. According to People magazine, they've now reached an agreement and she will be allowed to take the kids with her. Seal will be entitled to "expanded time" with them upon their return to the States. He can also visit the kids any time while they are in Germany, which he and Heidi "shall cooperate and work together to make arrangements for." In the event that America shuts down its borders because of the coronavirus, Heidi must "immediately make arrangements in an effort to return home with the children before the borders close."
