It's prompted castle bosses to roll out bigger birds to keep them at bay , and they're confident it'll do the trick.

Ant and Dec will be heading to Wales this winter

This week the ITV show confirmed its new camp will be the "haunted" ruins of Gwrych Castle.

Despite the enforced changes in coronavirus times, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly return to host the family-favourite TV show.

They'll be live every night from the castle this autumn to front the adapted version of the show - and they're promising "gruelling trials".

They're set to have a medieval theme, including jousting, dungeons and even fake gallows. The freezing waters of the nearby Irish Sea could also be used.

What is Gwyrch Castle?

THE 19th-century country house is located near Abergele in Conwy, County Borough, North Wales.

Gwrych Castle was built between 1810 and 1825 by Lloyd Hesketh Bamford-Hesketh.

The castle played an important tole in World War II, as the Government used it to house 200 Jewish refugees.

It also served as the training grounds for English World Middleweight boxing champion Randolph Turpin in the early 1950s.

Gwrych Castle became known as "The Showpiece of Wales" and over the years has attracted many visitors.

The ruins are said to be haunted by the ghost of the previous owner, the Countess of Dundonald.

The Woman in White, as the locals know her as, is said to be angry that her husband stripped the castle of her valuables and sold them.

Richard Cowles, director of entertainment at ITV Studios said: “The Australian jungle is such an integral part of the show it was a big challenge to find a UK location where we could continue to deliver what viewers love about I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here

"But Gwrych will definitely do that; the Castle sits in an amazing and
atmospheric setting on a hillside overlooking the Irish Sea.

"While there will be plenty of changes required as we move from New South Wales in Australia to North Wales in the UK, we are really excited to see how we can adapt the format and make the Castle our new home for a very special 20th series of I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! this Autumn.”

With views of the beautiful Welsh countryside, Gwrych Castle is nestled in a tree lined hillside with 250 acres of gardens and grounds.

But stars could be facing something worse than creepy crawlies this year - because Gwrych Castle is haunted.
