In the film, describing ocean plastic, Freeman says: “The creatures in this fascinating species do not have brains, teeth or even simple nervous systems, but miraculously they can travel for hundreds of miles and live to be over a thousand years old.”

“As the ocean is an unpredictable actor, Chris donated a few shots of other oceans to fill in a few spaces we couldn’t capture in Belize,” said Kate Baynham, associate creative director at GS&P. “We also worked with colorist Greg Reese at (visual effects company) a52 to create the seamless picture.” The film will be featured at the UN General Assembly, the Tribeca Film Festival and Advertising Week 2020.

“Ocean pollution has an impact on the food we eat, the air we breathe, land and wildlife across the globe, and our overall health and wellness. Not to mention the wide range of social and economic burdens that will grow steadily as the problem gets worse. Every part of our life is affected by the health of our oceans, so ignoring the problem will prove more detrimental than we can imagine,” said Baynham.
