Greensboro, N.C. — The Dudley Panthers hosted their annual major 7-on-7 tournament on Saturday, but the action was cut short due to high temperatures in the area.
The Panthers hosted some of the top programs in the state as teams prepare for the season set to begin the week of Friday, August 19.
Among the teams in attendance were Mallard Creek, Chambers, Northwood, Andrews, Carver, North Forsyth, Pallisades, Southern Durham, St. Pauls, Cummings and Mount Tabor.
The event began at 8:30 and ran for five 30-minute sessions before what would have been a lunch break leading into the tournament action, but the lunch break marked the end of the day as the temperature rose.
