Middleburg Heights City Council members oppose an Ohio House bill that would limit the city's control over short-term rental properties.
MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio – A bill currently under review in the Ohio House of Representatives in regard to short-term rental properties has received a thumbs-down from Middleburg Heights City Council.
House Bill 563 seeks to limit Middleburg Heights and other home-rule municipalities from regulating short-term rental properties however they choose. Council members passed a resolution in opposition to the proposed law at their June 28 meeting.
