RuPaul's Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne addresses I'm A Celeb rumours - digitalspy.com

RuPaul's Drag Race UK's first-ever winner The Vivienne has thrown her hat crown in the ring to take part in the next series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her weekday morning show Lorraine, The Vivienne said that she would love to be a part of the show, adding that getting involved in some Bushtucker Trials would be "absolutely amazing".

"Do you know what, I've never even thought about it really but what an absolutely amazing opportunity that would be!" she said.

"I'm petrified of spiders but get me to that jungle, I'd do it! What a great life opportunity that I'm never going to get again... I am all for that!"

Lorraine was very supportive of The Vivienne's ambitions too, saying that she was "going to make a call", to which The Vivienne replied: "I'd have to take all my make-up – I'd need mirrors!"

Of course, considering the coronavirus pandemic, there is a chance that I'm A Celeb might not be able to go ahead as usual this year – although when he was asked earlier this year, ITV boss Kevin Lygo admitted that he is currently expecting the show to return as normal.

Alongside The Vivienne, other famous names that have been suggested for the next series include former The One Show presenter Matt Baker, former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard and Coronation Street's Beverley Callard.

If The Vivienne does end up heading into the jungle though, she'll no doubt be prepared for a difficult experience as she recently told The Mirror that her BBC Three show The Vivienne Takes Hollywood is "the hardest thing" she has ever done.

Each episode of the show sees the Drag Race UK winner being coached by Hollywood figures, including voice coaches and choreographers, as they offer up their top tips for making it big, and The Vivienne revealed that the experience was a lot tougher than she had been expecting.

"TV is bloody hard," she said. "I was up at the crack of dawn, off to different locations, in drag before the sun's even come up, constantly having to think on your feet without any prompts. It was hard."

I'm a Celebrity is expected to return later this year on ITV.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK is available in full on BBC Three. In the US, you can watch the show on WOW Presents Plus. RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 airs on Fridays on VH1 in the US, and streams on Netflix in the UK.
