VERNON Kay is said to have signed a staggering £250k deal to appear on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! this year.
The 46-year-old star has been approached several times in the past, but ITV bosses have only just managed to sign him up.

Producers are thrilled to have snapped him up for a quarter of a million pounds, with the TV presenter due to appear on the reality show while his wife Tess Daly presents Strictly Come Dancing in the UK.
An insider told The Mirror: "Everyone’s so pleased to have Vernon on board, he’s a lovely guy, full of down-to-earth northern charm and perfect for the show."
The Sun Online have contacted Vernon's rep for comment.

Vernon, who presented Family Fortunes and Splash in the past, has seen his TV career stall after he and Page 3 model Rhian Sugden were involved in a scandal back in 2010.
The father-of-two was forced to apologise for sending flirty text messages to the blonde beauty during a live radio appearance at the time.
Speaking a decade ago, Vernon told listeners he'd made "some foolish and stupid decisions" as he apologised to his family - wife Tess, 51, and their daughters Phoebe, now 15, and 11-year-old Amber.
Earlier this month, the star admitted that lockdown has helped him and Tess, who he has been married to for 16 years, grow closer than ever.

In a rare interview about his private life, Vernon told Humans of XS Manchester podcast: "The positive thing is that it’s enabled us as a family to really get to know each other even better than you would as a family.
"When you think about it when you’re in a relationship, a working relationship, you wake up, you go to work, you get back and you have your dinner, kids doing their homework, you go to bed."
Vernon said before lockdown he might only see his family for four hours on a standard working day.

He continued: “When you’re in lockdown and you’re spending 24/7 with each other it really gives you the chance to really kind of re-connect and get to know each other better, not better, but you really get under the skin of your relationships with your kids and your missus.”
Vernon and Tess have raked in millions in the years since the sexting scandal that threatened to derail their successful careers.
Meanwhile, Rhian broke down in tears last month as she revealed that her job prospects nose-dived.

They are now estimated to be worth around £4 million.
She said: “He just got away with it. It ruined everything for me. I felt like I was going up and up with my career and then that came along. I wish I’d never met him.
“He got to give an apology on the radio and just got to carry on, with Family Fortunes, ironically. It still makes me feel sick.”
