ST. JOSEPH, Mo.-- Augustana soccer fell to Missouri Western State on Sunday after the Griffons scored with five seconds left in the game to take the 1-0 victory. The Vikings move to 0-2-1 overall and Missouri Western improves to 1-2-1.
Augustana logged eight shots on target with five aimed at the center of the goal and three to the right side. MWSU totaled five shots on goal in the contest.

CHANCE (AU) 8'- Morgan Keirstead took the first shot on target for the Vikings. Keirstead's shot was low and down the middle but the Griffon goalkeeper Keeley Kroonenburg was able to make the save.
CHANCE (AU) 29'- Freshman Halle Miller recorded her first shot of the game with a low ball towards the center of the goal. Kroonenburg made another quick save to keep the game scoreless with 15 minutes of play remaining in the first half.
CHANCE (AU) 51'- Back-to-back corner kicks gave the Vikings scoring opportunities but Augustana was unable to find space and the score stayed at nil for both teams.
CHANCE (AU) 53'- Grace Douglas sent a nice cross into the box but the ball was just out of reach for a Vikings forward to take a shot.
GOAL (MWSU) 89'- With just five seconds left in the game, Missouri Western's Kaili Campbell scored with a shot that was high to the middle.
