Just when you thought the fact that I'm A Celebrity All Stars is in the works was exciting enough, it looks as though things are about to get a heck of a lot more thrilling.

According to reports from The Sun (opens in new tab), a source close to the show said of the news, “It’s a massive coup. Mike has had a box seat for some of the most important moments in royal history for generations. He is sure to be discreet, but his sheer presence means this series will be an absolute must-watch.”

These reports remain just that - reports - but eagle-eyed fans may have noticed a recent Instagram post from Mike, alongside his fellow former rugby player James Haskell. James formerly appeared on I'm A Celeb so here's hoping, if Mike does star in the show, that he got some tips from his old pal.

This year's line-up is a closely held secret and ITV is yet to officially announce who will be heading to the jungle. The rumor mill has been spinning away with suggestions that Boy George, Chris Moyles, and Seann Walsh rumored to be starring in the show this year.

Ant and Dec have confirmed they'll be hosting this season, and ITV has announced that the show is heading back to the jungle after a few seasons in a considerably less glamorous location.

After two seasons based in Gwrych Castle in Wales, owing to travel restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, viewers were thrilled to hear that the show is heading back to Australia. An ITV (opens in new tab)spokesperson revealed the news in August 2022.

"Returning to its home in Australia after a two-year break," they said, "our celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend up to three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created for them."
