I'm a Celebrity 2020 dubbed "so easy" by previous winners - Digital Spy

This year's castle version of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! has been dubbed "easy" by two previous champions.

Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison (who became Queen of the Jungle in 2015) and Gogglebox breakout Scarlett Moffatt (2016) recently sat down with The Sun to discuss their issues with some of the rules and challenges that the latest celebrities are dealing with.

"I do think there's going to be a lot of past campmates sitting round and watching this year's I'm a Celeb and going, 'What the f**k? They have it so easy compared to us'," suggested Vicky.

Fellow winner Scarlett pointed to one aspect in particular that's got her riled up, explaining: "I got so angry that they got hot water. I know they're in Wales so it is cold, but they should have ice cold water.

"That's part of the experience. Why have they got hot water?"

Meanwhile, Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall's tomato shower during a Bushtucker Trial was another topic of contention for Scarlett.

"I watched one of the trials — they were having rotten tomatoes thrown at them and I was like, 'if only we just had to deal with vegetables. That would have been the dream'," she noted.

Does the show need to up the ante, or does the different setting just mean new challenges? Since Vicky and Scarlet's comments, Sunday's (November 22) episode of the show featured a particularly tough Bushtucker Trial for six of the contestants.

The timed 'Bar-Baric' trial saw Victoria Derbyshire, Beverley Callard, Hollie Arnold, Giovanna Fletcher, Jessica Plummer and Ruthie Henshall tasked with escaping creepy crawly and offal-filled chambers to retrieve keys and, in turn, earn meals for the whole cast.

I'm a Celebrity continues every night on ITV at 9pm, and The Daily Drop with Vick Hope continues at 5.30pm on ITV2.
