This year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! campmates have had to stomach dinners of eel, rabbit and quail during their stint at Gwrych Castle in North Wales.

And six of the campmates finally got to fill their guts with a delicious feast at the Grand Banquet during Sunday night's episode after winning the series' first live trial.

But finally being rewarded with hoards of delicious food quickly took its toll on the victorious celebrities as they hilariously spent the night with 'windy bums'.

After surviving a week on rations, the male campmates ate a lamb roast with potatoes, vegetables, mint sauce and gravy, followed by apple crumble with custard.

The delighted winners of Friday's Royal Tournament live trial were thrilled by their mouth-watering treat with Shane describing it as a 'wonderful spread'.

Talking in the Telegraph, AJ Pritchard said: 'I had to do a double take, it felt like a mirage, my mind was absolutely blown.'

While Shane Richie added: 'It was a wonderful spread, we were like six giggling schoolboys.'

The women of the camp, who unfortunately lost the first live trial, were sadly stuck with eating rice and beans as they envied their fellow campmates' feast.

But their jealousy did not last for long as the campmates struggled to sleep and had 'windy bums' after eating hoards of food and sugar at the banquet.

The camp revealed that there were a lot of 'trumping' noises throughout the night as they tried to rest, with Vernon Kay hilariously describing it as 'a musical evening'.

Talking in the Telegraph, the TV presenter, 45, said: 'Last night after the banquet, we had a few windy bums, it was quite a musical evening.'

While professional dancer AJ, 26, was amused that he did not sleep well after eating too much food, following a week of surviving on limited rations, rice and beans.

And Shane, 56, also complained that the food had 'zapped' his energy the next day, despite it being 'good and lovely' at the time.

The Eastenders star continued: 'I probably did break wind during the night, all that food as good and lovely as it was, the next day, it zaps your energy.'

I'm A Celebrity fans also took to Twitter to share their laughter after the hysterical revelation, joking that the 'windy bums' would scare any rats away.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are hosting the series once again, while Vick Hope is fronting The Daily Drop, a brand-new series following all camp activity, available on ITV Hub every morning after the main show.

The Geordie duo, the contestants and crew will be tested for COVID-19 every three days throughout the series, with the campmates able to mix freely while they live in the camp as they form their own bubble.

The 2020 series, which kicked off with a bang on ITV last Sunday evening, is expected to last just 20 days - two shorter than normal.
