The LaGrange Grangers, who are at the tail end of a stretch of six games in seven days, fell to visiting Calvary Christian 6-1 on Tuesday.
The Grangers (13-8 overall) will finish their busy stretch with a home game against the Jordan Red Jackets on Wednesday as they look to improve to 7-1 in Region 2-AAAA.
If LaGrange wins on Wednesday, it will complete this six-game stretch with a 4-2 record.
In Tuesday’s game, it was scoreless when Calvary Christian scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning.
The Grangers answered with a run in the bottom of the fourth, but they were held scoreless the rest of the way.
Matthew Morgan had two of LaGrange’s four hits, and that included a leadoff double in the first inning, although he was left stranded.
Seth Stargell and Ty Medders each had one hit, and Turner Cook had an RBI.
Trevor Booton started for LaGrange and pitched four innings, and he gave up three earned runs on five hits while striking out six batters.
T.J. Wilkerson gave up one run in his two innings on the mound, and Ben Alford threw a scoreless seventh inning.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Stargell and Medders got things going with back-to-back singles, and Cook’s sacrifice fly drove in the Grangers’ lone run.
