The Masked Singer Season 5: Super 8's Celeb & 2 Reveal Predictions - Screen Rant

The groups converge Wednesday on The Masked Singer season 5 as fans will get to see a 2-hour long episode with the Super 8. The remaining group A contestants are Russian Dolls, Robopine, Seashell, and wildcard Yeti. Group B's finalists consist of Piglet, Black Swan, Chameleon, and wildcard Crab. The 2-hour Super 8 special will send home not one but two of the anonymous singers. If it follows last season, it's likely each group will send one person home Wednesday night rather than all eight competing against each other. However, no two seasons so far have gone exactly the same so there really is no way to know.

Who goes home could depend on that structure. If one from each group goes home it's hard not to believe the two wildcards, Crab and Yeti, are at a bit of a disadvantage having had fewer times to perform on stage in costume. The show, along with interviews from previous singers, has proven that singers get better as they get more comfortable in the costumes. The costumes can be a hindrance for even the most experienced singers since it limits their range. As we've seen previously with Gremlin and this season with Crab, the heat inside can become overwhelming. Another factor though is the age and health of the contestant.

Crab has already had to rush off the stage to unmask and fans are convinced he's an older performer. Despite his seeming youthful moves on stage, Robopine has said he's a grandparent of at least age 60. This could point to Robopine being another potential celebrity unmasked if they aren't still kept in groups. Then there are the limitations of Russian Dolls costume in restricting their ability to have a more active performance. Black Swan and Piglet are the fan favorites to win with Chameleon and Seashell right behind them, making those four performers the least likely to be sent home tonight. But who are the eight celebs inside the remaining costumes?

Russian Dolls

Prediction: Hanson

Fans were certain as were we that this was the popular boy band comprised of the three Hanson brothers, Isaac, Taylor, and Zac before the show even premiered. An early video released showed that it was two singers whose voices were a lot like the two older Hanson brothers Isaac and Taylor. An early prediction that yet another doll would emerge as youngest band member Zac came to be during a later performance. While their talent and performances so far make it unlikely they are at risk of going, they are very restricted in movement with their costumes and that could impact their ability to engage the audience. We have linked all the clues to them here.

Robopine

Prediction: Steve Harvey or Damon Wayans

Robopine is one of this year's head-scratchers. His youthful energy is at odds with his claim that he is 60 and has grandkids. So much so that many fans and even the panel have decided to disregard that clue and guess much younger celebrities in hopes he wasn't being totally truthful. Our early prediction was game show host Steve Harvey but his voice and later clues also made Damon Wayans come to mind. Both stars are at least 60 and do have grandkids, but the clues don't line up perfectly with either star. This opens the door for other popular guesses like MC Hammer, Terry Crews, or the often guessed Jamie Foxx, who are in their 50s. His age and potential lack of singing experience might put him at risk to go home, but his performances have been youthful and amazing. We linked the clues to our top guesses here.

Seashell

Prediction: Tamera Mowry

Fans quickly came to the conclusion that one of the famous Mowry sisters was the voice behind Seashell but we immediately found that the clues pointed towards the older sibling, by two minutes, Tamera. The clues that have come since have further confirmed our suspicions by pointing to her husband and projects she did independent of her sister. Tamera Mowry has expressed an interest in a singing career in the past and recently left her hosting gig with The Real. This show would be the perfect launching pad for such a career and Seashell can sing. Seashell has proven her talent and is definitely one of the three favorites so far to win the competition. We've linked the clues to Tamera Mowry here.

Yeti

Prediction: Omarion

Despite having only one clue package and one performance to go on, we are certain that Yeti is rapper and singer Omarion. Yeti's clue package, size, and voice all fit the "Ice Box" singer. Omarion was a popular guess for previous contestant Frog, who turned out to be his frequent collaboration partner Bow Wow. Yeti seems to be at significant risk of going home tonight as the newest addition to the group. He has had the least time to figure out how to connect with the audience though he managed to send home the first wildcard Orca who was revealed to be rocker Mark McGrath of the band Sugar Ray. We've connected Yeti's clues to Omarion for you here.

Piglet

Prediction: Nick Lachey

Piglet's identity has to be one of the worst kept secrets in the show's history. A small clip show in a promo before the season aired led to anyone who had ever heard Lachey or the boy band 98 Degrees knowing exactly who Piglet was. Knowing his identity wasn't important in establishing his place at the top. Piglet has delivered flawless performances each week and it's clear that Nick, I mean Piglet, was made for this competition and won't be going anywhere soon. We linked all the clues and no surprise they fit the former boy bander perfectly. You can find those links here.

Black Swan

Prediction: JoJo

Black Swan captured fans' and judges' hearts with her sultry voice and emotion-filled performances. The voice is unique and can only belong to popular JoJo. The clues from week one have lined up perfectly to support that prediction. There is no chance Black Swan will be going home so fans can relax and enjoy her performance. We've connected all Black Swan's clues to JoJo here.

Chameleon

Prediction: Wiz Khalifa

Chameleon's height made many immediately guess he was an athlete but his voice made it clear quickly he is a professional singer. The combination of that height and that level of vocal skill leaves very few options. When combined with the clues, they leave only one: Wiz Khalifa. He is an unlikely candidate to go home and many even have him in their top picks to win this season. We've connected all Chameleon's clues to the singer here.

Crab

Prediction: Bobby Brown or Wyclef Jean

Crab is another one that has us wavering. Bobby Brown is the prediction that lines up well but almost seems too easy. Even the judges guessed him from week one. This is unusual and makes us skeptical that the show would give away the identity so soon. We also were able to match some of the clues to Fugees singer Wyclef Jean but don't be surprised if Crabs reveal is a shocking one. We've linked the clues for Crab here.
