The lead was short-lived as the Wildcats responded with a five-run sixth. Southeastern pulled back within a run in the bottom of the inning, scoring a pair of Finke’s two-out double to left.

ACU pushed its lead back to three, picking up a pair of runs on Colton Eager’s eighth homer of the season. Once again, the Lions pulled back within a run, scoring two more in the seventh on a two-out triple inside the first-base bag off the bat of Eli Johnson.
